We now look forward to our forthcoming Show, and we hope that we can have good weather and have a record breaking Show.
The Directors have been busy to ensure that Nantwich Show remains the top one day event in the UK.
After the all time record entries of nearly 4,000 in 2010, the Cheese Pavilion will again be increased in size to over 63,000 sq ft. We have added new Horse Rings created within the new Equestrian Area and the showground roadway has been extended to over a mile in length.
The Cattle in a new prestigious location have had their marquee coverage enlarged to some 40,500 sq ft, all under one roof, to accommodate the 600 we anticipate to be at the Show this year. Additionally the Countryside Pursuits which has grown and grown, both in popularity and size will be in an enlarged area, to name but some of the improvements being made
We expect in excess of 600 Cattle on show, which will also include the largest gathering of Brown Swiss cattle in the UK at their National Showcase.
There will be some 12 hours continuous ring displays, from Show Jumping, Heavy Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Dogs, Falconry and Gun Dog Displays, Jazz Music to name but some.
Trade displays will encompass approx 400 stands selling and demonstrating every type of retail trade.
Nor must we forget the world renowned International Cheese Awards, with nearly 4,000 exhibits in 2010 from some 24 countries from all four corners of the world. See website - Click here
So, from Cheshire, to Wensleydale, to Stilton, to Cheese with Marmalade or even Choc Chip!!!! There is truly something for everyone’s taste.
